We currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Services Manager to join our manufacturing site in North Ryde. This role reports to the Formulation and Services Lead and has overall ownership of the electrical and control systems for all building and production plant at the Nova site with responsibility for their operation, reliability and improvement. In this position your responsibilities will include and not be limited to:

  • Managing the Electrical Maintenance team and the Control Systems Engineering group to maintain and improve control systems within the manufacturing site.

  • Identify and manage continuous improvement with a focus on pharmaceutical compliance.

  • Update and provide guidance to other departments within the manufacturing site.

  • Identify, develop and implement control system policies.

  • Lead, diagnose and find solutions to complex operational problems on site.

  • Develop technological and operational standards and procedures for the control systems to provide plant reliability.

  • Manage the day to day running of a team of up to 7 direct reports.

Desired Experience

  • Ideally 5-10 years experience in managing and technically leading the maintenance and development of control systems in a pharmaceutical/FMCG environment.

  • Tertiary qualified in Engineering (Electrical/Mechatronic/Mechanical).

  • Experience leading a team of Engineers.

  • Experience with GAMP, System Engineering and or quality systems is highly desirable

  • Experience with and an understanding of SCADA, (Siemens) PLCs

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to anticipate business needs.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Demonstrated technical experience with operation, maintenance and development and validation of systems.
