Systems Electrical Engineering Manager leads a team of Electrical Designers/Programmers in developing product solutions, with a focus on Systems, such that clients' electrical needs and requirements are met. Responsible for planning, assigning, and reviewing work load to the Electrical Engineering team, while conducting all aspects Electrical Designers/ Programmer's personnel requirements. Instructs/trains/mentors electrical team on related theories, principles, and standards. Maintains proper electrical engineering fundamentals which are followed by the department. This role will serve as the technical knowledge of power distribution systems, automated control systems, electrical and controls implementation, and the National Electric Code (NEC). This is a "working" Managerial position.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Direct the Electrical Engineering team including delegating and scheduling work, providing technical direction and completing performance appraisals
Provide quotations and technical guidance for electrical equipment in a timely manner
Design, develop, test, and commission electrical and electronic control systems, control panels for vacuum equipment
Enter manufacturing design and delivery plans into the company operating system
Assist with product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair equipment
Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after assembly
Collaborate with electrical engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve technical problems
Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems
Write commissioning procedures for electrical installations
Draw or modify diagrams and write engineering specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria of electrical and Programmable Logic Controller control systems
Conduct inspections in accordance with quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations
Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions or amendments to outdated material
Generate sequence of operations descriptions for testing and compliance to customer specifications
Visit end user sites to assist in integration and start-up system commissioning
May be required to visit customer site to troubleshoot and repair issue related to electrical control of vacuum pump systems
Serve as the company's technical and engineering authority of electrical and electronic equipment.
Responsible for the continuous training of electrical technicians (i.e. drawing standards, format, governing electrical codes, etc.)
Support the Systems Manager with departmental growth initiatives
Manage electrical engineering workload to forecast insufficiencies
Propose the hiring of additional resources to management
Familiarity with analog (4-20ma) transmitters, and adjustable pressure/vacuum switches
Working knowledge for Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and or Adjustable Speed Drive (ASD)
Hands on experience with common hand tools used in the electrical field Experience in technical writing
Working knowledge reading and interpreting electrical wiring, P&ID and associated electrical control documentation Programming and configuration of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Operator Interface Terminals (OIT) and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
Knowledge of power distribution systems, automated control systems, electrical and controls instrumentation, the National Electrical Code, UL 508 and/or 698
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Ability to troubleshoot automated control panels

SKLLS & ABILITIES
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
5 plus years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related field: Required 3 plus years of experience in supervisory role: Required
Ability to utilize Auto CAD or Solid Works for creation, editing and review electrical assembly and wiring diagrams. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software Working knowledge of digital test instruments (i.e. multi-meters). Working knowledge of PLC programming, Operator Interface Terminals and similar automation control systems and components, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Managment (CRM) systems
