JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status.Additionally, the position requires an active security clearance or an ability to obtain one.
General use and application of concepts, practices and techniques. Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Originates basic electrical deliverables and documents
Performs and checks system calculations
Coordinates technical documents with other disciplines/contractors
Participates in supplier meetings
Participates in coordination with other disciplines/contractors
Develops low voltage power systems
Uses 2D CAD skills
Uses 3D CAD skills (optional)
Develops simple schematics
Reviews or prepares basic power system design for underground, cable tray, conduit, grounding, LV distribution and lighting systems
Uses electrical engineering web site to access department guides and standards
Interprets mechanical, special and other miscellaneous equipment schedule and logic narratives
0-2 years of experience in construction / engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Security Certifications
A grade point average of 3.2 or above
Familiar with the following programs is a must: MS Office Suite, MS SharePoint, AutoCAD (or similar program), Bluebeam
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment
The ability to communicate effectively
Willingness to travel to various project sites (if applicable)
Previous experience within the Construction Industry
Previous experience with electrical Design Build applications
Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
Certified in Power Quality (CPQ)
Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED)
Lighting Certified (LC)
Certified Lighting & Efficiency Professional (CLEP)
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)
Design Build Institute of America (DBIA)
This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy.
