Job Responsibilities:

  • Under minimum supervision, applies functional specifications and uses engineering tools to design hardware, electronic circuits, control systems or algorithms for product development.

  • Uses software tools or applications to perform routine analysis to predict performance of electronic circuits or control systems and identifies design improvements by evaluating results.

  • Incorporates experience in industrial engineering and supply chain processes to develop cost effective designs.

  • Contributes in reliability analysis such as risk assessments and Failure Mode Effects Analysis by compiling and examining data.

  • Identifies the testing requirement at a system level with the emphasis on complying with test standards and Halliburton’s Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.

  • Contributes to Halliburton’s Intellectual Property portfolio by preparing Invention Disclosures and recognizing ideas that have Intellectual Property potential without disclosing confidential information.

  • Works as integral part of a multi-discipline team including project management, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, assembly, test, and software teams.

Qualifications:

Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline and 8 plus years of related experience. Completion of a Masters in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.

8-10 years of experience in

  • Electrical or electro-mechanical or automation engineering background

  • Lean manufacturing and/or supply chain management

  • Preferably worked in manufacturing of products that have medium to high volume per month (1,000 to 15,000 units per month)

  • Automation of assembly lines and leveraging industrial manufacturers for volume manufacturing

  • Cost sensitive design

  • Very good communication and coordination skills
