This position will support our strategic growth in North America and will widen our business opportunities. This position requires sound technical knowledge with the ability to lead Electrification related projects and interface with clients, and Federal, Local and State government contacts for projects located anywhere within North America. The primary duties include production of design and technical coordination work of rail systems - traction power supply system and overhead contact system. Travel will be required.Duties:Work on a varied and challenging range of projects and contribute to the continuous growth of the Rail and Transit Practice with the career progression opportunitiesProject work would include Power Supply and Distribution Design for Metro, Light Rail, Heavy Rail, Commuter Rail and High-Speed Rail Projects operating on Overhead Contact or Third Rail SystemsPreparation of power system AC and DC single line diagrams, metering and relaying schemes, substation equipment layout, conduit and cable layout, equipment installation detail drawings, grounding grid layout, power distribution and lighting system design. And/Or. Full range of catenary design and analysis tasks, including support and wiring layouts and profiles, cross-section development, equipment allocation, grounding and bonding, sectionalizing, and the development of basic design parametersPerform design including development of plans and specifications and selection of equipment and systemsEngage with clients, conveying an in-depth understanding of the railway signaling industry to identify opportunities to advise and support them in resolving their key issues.Ensure that designs adhere to necessary federal, state, and local standards and laws, understanding of AREMA, FRA, and CENELEC standardsDevelop new business through technical proposal development, networking, specialized service offerings, client interaction, conference participation and professional reputationDevelop project scopes and budgets, interfacing with clients, mentoring and development of junior staff and design/drafters, and development of project plans and schedules Demonstrate clear and concise, oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, resources, and presentationsAvailability to support TYPSA Group Systems Department in overseas projects.
