Electrical Engineer, Advanced Imaging
SRI's Center for Advanced Imaging is searching for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. Based in Princeton, NJ, the Imaging team is searching for a candidate who can join a multidisciplinary group dedicated to the development of custom image sensor devices, modules, and systems for numerous commercial, and government applications.
The ideal candidate would support Electro-Optic test and characterization, hardware integration, and software development with a focus on test and automation. The chosen candidate will set up laboratory equipment and experiments to accurately measure Electro-Optic performance of cameras and sensors, develop accurate and reliable electro-optic tests methods, systems, procedures across R&D, prototype, space flight and production sensor platforms, and accurately and concisely present characterization results to clients, colleagues, designers, and managers.

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
Minimum 2 yrs. experience in image sensor or camera characterization and test; more experience is welcome.
Due to government requirements candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Knowledge of Electro Optic Principles and concepts with applications to imager and camera testing.
C/C++/C# development experience for windows applications (Visual Studio), including revision control and configuration management techniques.
Analysis and laboratory automation experience desirable, including experience with automation and analysis tools such as Labview, Matlab, and ImageJ. Experience with Omnify and JIRA a plus.
Any embedded software application experience would be a major plus.
Must be familiar with common test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, parametric analyzers.
Knowledge of imager and camera performance parameters and tests.
Knowledge of CCD and CMOS imager architectures a plus.
Must be effective in a laboratory environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation skills and the ability to deal effectively with clients.
Capable of multi-tasking
