Job Summary

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, technical, and highly talented, Electrical Intern for immediate employment in the Orlando, Florida office. This position is to support the water business line in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities and similar projects. The position will report directly to and be under the supervision of a registered professional engineer.

Primary job responsibilities will include assisting with the following:

  • Performing drafting in AutoCAD

  • Assisting with developing electrical design criteria for projects, including facility power, control, lighting, communications, and grounding systems

  • Reviewing electrical and I&C (Instrumentation & Controls) shop drawings during project construction phase

  • Assisting with conducting assessment of existing electrical installations and preparation of reports

  • Developing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

  • Coordination with other disciplines and functions

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or other related field required

  • AutoCAD Experience

  • Microsoft office (Excel, Word)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent Problem solving skills

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related intern/ Co-op experience

  • Revit experience

  • A university student that is a Junior or Senior is preferred. Successful Interns may lead to a full-time position upon graduation.
