Google Audio Electrical Engineer in Mountain View, California
Our computational challenges are so big, complex and unique we can't just purchase off-the-shelf hardware, we've got to make it ourselves. Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. As an Audio Electrical Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.
You are a creative thinker and problem solver who will be helping Google to design the next generation of cutting edge smartphones. You will work with 3rd parties to define, select and validate new IC's for inclusion into Pixel to implement new features. You will work with the product teams to create and review schematics and layout and to debug and verify prototype devices. Additionally, you will work with our manufacturing teams to help bring end-to-end excellence for Pixel audio. As part of the audio team, you will be directly responsible for creating the electrical system that enables a best-in-class audio experience for our end users.

- Create and oversee the execution of validation plans for the product.
- Review schematics and layout.
- Resolve issues in prototypes.
- Travel to support factory builds.
- Validate critical parameters of new silicon.
- BSEE degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in an audio EE role.
- Experience with mixed signal and amplifier audio components.
- Experience with PCB routing for performance audio.
- MSEE or higher
- 5 years of experience in an audio EE role.
- Knowledge and experience with audio DSP technology
- Ability to travel 10-20%.
