Bring your talent and skills to the following RMS organization: Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Engineering provides engineering design, integration and life cycle support for Missiles, Smart munitions, Projectiles, Kinetic Kill Vehicles, and Directed Energy Weapons with combat system competencies including process and control, integration and test, power systems, multiple system electronics, receivers and exciters, antennas and microwave sub-assemblies. Please Note: This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or Salary Grade G07 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. Job Description: Raytheon has an opportunity for an entry level engineer to perform research and data analysis for new and existing electrical components for multiple missile systems such as TOMAHAWK. The engineer will determine availability, feasibility and characteristics of components including identification of alternatives. The engineer will also perform component level trade studies, participate in collaboration activities, and work with team members to ensure proper design effectiveness and identify process improvements. Focus areas include component obsolescence, component health management, and new part introductions. In addition, the engineer will interface with stakeholders and suppliers to collect data and information for developing component risk assessments and verification documentation. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance. Required Skills: Ø Technical knowledge of electronic components such as semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, RF devices, connectors, etc. Ø Knowledge of EEE parts specs and standards Ø Research, problem solving and identification of alternatives Ø Preparation of reports and presenting findings and recommendations Ø Component selection with judgment and determination of part feasibility to meet requirements Ø Preparation of parts lists and associated documentation including parts list maintenance Ø Preparation of component level drawings Ø Self-starter and eagerness to seek subject matter expert inputs and ask questions Ø Effective communication skills and the ability to work with different disciplines and project management personnel Ø Ability to multitask Ø Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Ø Experience with databases usage Desired Skills: Ø Impact assessment of product change notices Ø Knowledge of component screening, qualification and derating Ø Knowledge of component failure modes Ø Knowledge of obsolescence management strategies Ø Troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical circuit anomalies Ø Electronic circuit design with knowledge of analog design and analysis Ø General knowledge of digital circuitry and interfaces Ø Knowledge and/or experience with use of lab common equipment such oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc. Ø Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes Ø Knowledge of circuit card and PWB manufacturing processes Ø Experience with design tools such as Mentor Graphics Expedition or Design Architect Ø Experience with circuit simulation and analysis tools such as PSPICE or Analog Workbench Required Education (including Major): Ø BS in electrical engineering or in an engineering discipline with a concentration in electrical components or technology *Please upload a copy of your most recent transcripts with your resume when applying to this requisition.
