Qualifications Education-Training (both required and desired): Bachelors Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required Experience: 0-3+ years of professional experience in the required task area Security: Must be a US citizen Active Secret security clearance required Expertise and Functions Position supports the Airborne Launch Control System Replacement (ALCS-R) Program Perform technical analysis for components and-or software, risk analyses and assessments of component supportability and design effectives in the context of derived requirements Perform analyses for one or more components to include design, fabrication, test, integration, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal Perform component trade studies to include assessment of technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify and quantify associated risks Perform functional analysis to translate component requirements into hardware and-or software specifications Support acquisition planning and execution of pre-system acquisition and acquisition phase program activities that are consistent with DoD 5000 series directives. Assist and advise in analysis, planning, and reporting of any capability gaps or mission enhancements that may be mitigated-enhanced through materiel solutions; assist the Assistant ALCS-R Program Manager in writing and reviewing technical acquisition documents and contractor deliverables; possess professional engineering knowledge and be capable of clearly articulating the technical requirements of the ALCS program and providing technical advisement to the program manager in the review of contractor deliverables; have previous experience directly managing contracted workloads with emphasis on requirements, design, production, and sustainment of command and control equipment; assist writing technical acquisition documents and reviewing contractor deliverables; possess professional engineering knowledge and be capable of independently identifying and coordinating resources to achieve ALCS-R goals; support ALCS-R developmental and operational tests including the TMRR “down select” tests. Assist and support the identification of ALCS-R System Integration Laboratory (SIL) requirements and oversee the SIL design and build. Possess previous experience directly managing developmental test, operational test, and test facilities. Will be provided personal desktop access to traditional engineering software, to include, but not limited to: Solid works 3D CAD, Cameo Systems Modeler, Primavera and Microsoft Office Suite.
