The challenge? Help provide technical and application support to our engineers and design team. Our Electrical Engineering jobs provide you with an opportunity to work on state of the art manufacturing, energy and chemical, data center, advanced technology manufacturing, and science and technology laboratory projects. Each day you will perform the routine aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principals. You should be a self-motivated, professional, with an interest in manufacturing, energy and chemical, data center, and laboratory design, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new project.
Participate in business development activities with potential clients.
Are capable of developing programming, scope of work, and basis of design documents.
Have good communications skills including formal presentations to clients and mentoring junior staff.
Work with a team of electrical engineers, designers, and drafters from project kick off to design completion.
Perform detailed one-line development including normal power, emergency and standby power, and uninterruptible power systems.
Size electrical distribution system such as: Switchgear, Transformers, Uninterruptible power supplies, Generators, etc.
Coordinate with local utility companies for electrical services.
Perform Short-Circuit, Load Analysis, Arc Flash and Shock Hazard Analysis.
Have a good basic understanding of fire alarm, security, and telecommunications systems.
Have a basic understanding of electrical area of classifications including determination of auto-ignition and surface temperatures.
Model electrical systems and design in REVIT and/or SmartPlant.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
5+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer in a consulting environment.
Professional Engineering License or capable of obtaining licensure within 12 months.
Project experience must include two or more of the following: Data Center, Laboratories, Industrial manufacturing, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, or Consumer products.
Must have working knowledge of National Electrical Code.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Passed the E.I.T. or F.E. Exam; Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure is a plus and preferred.
SmartPlant or Autodesk Products such as Autocad, Autocad MEP, REVIT experience.
Capable of performing, accurately and proficiently, Lighting, Voltage Drop, and Load Calculations.
Excel and Word proficient.
SKM Powertools, E-Tap, or Easypower modeling experience is a plus.
LEED AP is a plus.
Microelectronics experience a plus.
