Electrical Engineer III Position Available (Direct Hire) - Enfield, CT
Kelly Services is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer III for one of their top clients in the Enfield, CT area.
Responsible for performing electrical/software design and development functions as well as leading project development functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for leading product development assignment to create, support or maintain product offering (laboratory shakers, bioreactors, etc.).
Responsible for major development projects in their area of expertise including electrical design, software controls and applications.
Work with the members of the product development team and other relevant departments within the organization (e.g., purchasing, quality, manufacturing, etc.) to complete assignments. Capable of providing direction to colleagues and making complex decisions. Responsible for providing guidance to junior EE’s.
Duties will include generation of engineering designs and calculations, project schedules, project costing and quality documentation.
Proficient with designing microprocessor controllers, digital and analog circuitry design and industrial automation products to develop control systems.
Experienced with electromechanical systems incorporating motors, pumps, valves, sensors, feedback control and digital communications.
Basic Knowledge of control software and graphical user interface for embedded control systems utilizing Assembler, C, C++, and VB programming languages.
Complete understanding of GMP guidelines and the “V” life cycle development process.
Experience applying the agile framework for development is preferred.
Broad knowledge of EMC and safety standards, utilize EMI reduction techniques and design strategy.
Specific knowledge of relevant standards 61010-1, EMC directive, CISPR-11, FCC, RoHS, WEEE.
Provide support for NBS legacy products, responsibilities will include software upgrades, hardware improvements and replacement parts.
Possesses a thorough understanding of product development, workflow processing techniques and familiar with MRP systems.
Follows ISO 9001 and 13485 policies and procedures in the performance to the responsibilities outlined in the job description.
Able to perform failure and root cause analysis.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum qualification: BS Electrical Engineering degree and 10+ years’ experience in similar field or MS Electrical Engineering Degree and 7+ years’ experience.
Excellent interpersonal verbal skills and written communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distributions, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Proficient with Microsoft Project and Office Suite. Must have thorough knowledge of PCB design tools such as PADS, ORCAD and similar packages. Proficient with CAD system such as AutoCAD or Solidworks. Broad knowledge of C, C++, Microsoft Visual Studio,
