We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be involved with various types of projects with new and existing clients. We have an immediate need for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Concord, CA location. This role will work across a variety of industries including petrochemical, biotech, pharmaceutical and wineries.

Responsibilities:

Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of electrical engineering projects and work scope

Power distribution and lighting engineering and design

Circuit protection device selection and coordination

Responsibility for electrical drawings, specifications, and calculation.

Support cost estimates, quantity takeoffs and manpower requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders

Hazardous area classification analysis (if applicable) for electrical equipment

Assemble engineering and drawing packages for bid, approval, and construction issue drawing packages

Review vendor submittals/bids and make recommendations

Contact with Clients, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel

Attend and participate in Client and Eichleay meetings as required

Requirements:

BS Electrical Engineering

Licensed PE for California

10+ years of experience in electrical engineering

Electrical analysis software familiarity (i.e. ETAP, Easy Power, SKM)

Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code Standards (NFPA/NEC), California Title 24 Building Energy Efficiency codes and IEEE/IES/API Standards

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

AutoCAD familiarity

Must have solid writing skills for specifications and standards

Must have good business communication skills (e-mail, reports, documentation, and the ability to speak on a professional level with clients, contractors and colleagues)

Preferred Requirements/Skills:

Direct Experience in Petrochemicals, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, and or Wineries highly desired
