What You Will Be Doing
Design for client and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate project status with client representative and others
Manage mid to large size projects and programs.
The design and delivery of green and brown field high voltage electrical substation projects.
Manage subordinate or other discipline resources to quality, schedule and budget requirements.
Vendor drawing review and disposition.
Develop and maintain project documentation regarding protection and control design and construction.
Support the development of control building layout, P&C one line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, control panel layouts and wiring diagrams, station service AC/DC
distribution diagrams, bill of materials, cable schedules, etc.
Schedule and budget variances in a timely manner.
Reporting safety, health and quality issues to management.
Prepare contract amendments, change order documentation, and claims documentation.
Maintaining project files.
Creating and enforcing project quality plans.
Advanced presentation, written, verbal communication skills.
What You Need for this Position
Experience with protection & control design engineering
Experience with design software and design management systems
Experience with grounding calculations
Experience with applicable codes and standards (IEEE / EIC)
Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
Experience with Revit is a huge plus!
Understanding of CAD software
Ability to estimate, plan, and schedule substation projects
Experience with MS Windows, Word, and Excel
Experience with power system studies (short circuit and coordination studies) is a plus!
4 year technical degree from an ABET accredited institution
Membership /active participation to professional organizations like IEEE is a plus!
Experience with preparing relay settings is a plus!
