Req Id 29561 - Posted 04/13/2018 - Production / Operations - Bristol, Pennsylvania, US Job dimensions This position is accountable for ensuring the reliable operation of the plant electrical and automation systems. This includes execution of capital projects, day to day troubleshooting and annual maintenance. This position is also responsible for ensuring that our electrical and automation systems meet industry standards and regulations. This position reports directly to the Engineering/Projects Manager. Direct reports include 2 salary employees, the Electrical Specialist and the Process Automation Engineer Key ACtivities and responsibilities Project Management (Capex): (40%) * Work with the maintenance and production departments to identify, prioritize, and develop capital improvement projects that will maintain and improve the plant. * Administer capital projects according to the Arkema Stage-Gate process. * Develop, manage, and implement both electrical and non-electrical projects. * Manage vendors who will be executing work on or off site (i.e., contractors, consulting engineers, etc.) * Manage the commissioning of new processes and equipment through instrumentation/electrical loop checking, generation of Operating Procedures and training of operators. Maintenance/Engineering Support (30%) * Design electrical, PLC, and instrumentation circuits for both capital and non-capital projects * Manage DCS/Control System improvement strategies. * Provides troubleshooting support of process and equipment problems that are electrical in nature. * Reviews, specifies, and orders electrical spare parts, rental equipment, and process equipment. * Ensures plant electrical drawings and one-line diagrams are maintained. * Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies for electrical and process equipment. * Assists with plant's annual power outage. * Acts as a coach and technical resource for maintenance personnel for electrical/controls issues.. Regulatory/HES Support (20%) * Maintains plant arc flash compliance and fault current study. * Conduct Management of Change Reviews for project and non-project changes within the plant. * Ensures compliance to all regulatory requirements (NEC, NFPA, OSHA, etc.). * Supports the plant OSHA PSM, Quality and Env. Critical Instruments and testing program * Demonstrate commitment to HES matters through high visibility and actions * Supports BBS process by performing observations and encourages employee participation Supports Loss Control policy, AIMS, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems Other duties as assigned (10%).
