Leidos Electrical Engineer Intern in BRIDGEWATER, Virginia
Leidos is seeking a talented Electrical Engineering Intern, located in our Bridgewater, VA office.
The Intern will perform as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, with responsibility for timely completion of tasks under the direction and supervision of a Senior Engineer. Will perform tasks to completion semi-independently after receiving technical direction, be able to suggest solutions to technical problems, and serve on a design review team. The engineer will also prepare and/or review proposed Engineering Change documents, test plans, and test reports. Will interface with members of engineering teams, configuration review teams, Quality Assurance, and procurement personnel to define and resolve testing and production issues.
-The candidate must currently be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
-Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is preferred
-Related work experience or basic knowledge of computer-aided design and modeling required.
-Ability to express self effectively both orally and in writing.
-Must have the ability of obtaining a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
Understanding of engineering concepts pertaining to design, documentation, and production of mechanical components and electro-mechanical assemblies is desirable. CAD Finite Element Analysis (FEA) familiarity is a plus. Proficiency in MathCad or MATLAB analysis software will be considered.
