What You Will Be Doing

Developing the electrical systems of a given project based on scope of work and/or client RFPs.

Providing engineering design, evaluation, planning and construction administration of power, lighting and fire alarm systems for healthcare, science and

technology, education and commercial projects.

Preparing overcurrent protection coordination and short circuit calculations to select and determine AIC ratings of equipment.

Preparing voltage drop calculations.

Developing reports/studies.

Writing/editing project specifications.

Conducting existing building surveys and documentations of existing electrical and fire alarm systems.

What You Need for this Position

--Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field required--

Good Tenure

10+ years of experience

PE license and/or LEED certification (ideally MD, DC and/or VA)

Has worked in the A/E/C industry and/or MEP field

Proficient in AutoCAD & Revit

More Than 5 Years of experience and knowledge of:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office

  • LEED Certification (is a plus) - PE / EIT preferred

  • Experience w/ laboratories / medical facilities design is preferred

  • Familiarity w/ codes, standards & design guidelines

  • Strong overall design experience

  • Excellent work ethic & attitude - really fostering a strong corporate culture here

  • Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of one
