*Job Title: *Electrical Engineering Technician

Position Summary

This position is in our Beavercreek, Ohio location on Mission Point Boulevard. This position supports the engineering department with a variety of moderately complex engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks, and is involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of various electronics systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports engineering with a variety of moderately complex engineering duties and/or hands-on tasks

  • Assists in design, build and/or procurement of new or improved machines, tools, fixtures, and material handling equipment along with coordinating the implementation

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as needed.

  • Analyzes, develops, and recommends design approaches

  • Responsible for completing process documentation, bill of materials, router sheets, etc.

  • Reviews project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions, and to support the design for manufacture

  • Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified electrical and/or mechanical components or assemblies for products

  • Sets up and conducts tests of units and components

  • Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods

  • Provides and develops documentation to maintain equipment

  • Provides hands-on feedback to engineers

  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ year direct experience

  • Comfortable with the shop/laboratory and equipment

  • IPC 610 solder certification preferred

  • Experience in the following areas preferred:

  • RF, Antenna, Radar, and SATCOM installation and testing

  • Board level trouble shooting and repair

  • Formal environmental and EMI qualification testing

  • Cable assembly
