Overview / Responsibilities Wood has an exciting opportunity seeking a Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer at our Tucker, GA office. Key Responsibilities ï¿½Design and develop Single line diagrams, Schematics, Wiring diagrams ï¿½Develop Short circuit, Load Flow and Arc Flash documentation using ETAP, SKM, or EASYPOWER Electrical Programs ï¿½Resource Management and Planning ï¿½Quality control of all deliverables within the scope of Electrical ï¿½Interface with Project Management and Client and liaise with other project discipline ï¿½Prepare Electrical Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations for Paper Machine Drives, Switchgear, Transformers and other electrical equipment as required. Review Vendor Documents ï¿½Assist in preparation of power system cost estimates and defining scopes of work for project design and study proposals ï¿½Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal & external service providers or contractors ï¿½Work with electrical engineers, technologists and designers to provide electrical design and deliverables to a variety of projects ï¿½Prepare electrical designs, calculations and bills of material Skills / Qualifications ï¿½Registered Professional Engineer ï¿½Prefer 15 to 25 yearsï¿½ experience with design of Power Systems for Heavy Industrial Installations ï¿½Pulp and Paper Mill power design experience or Paper Machine Drives experience required ï¿½Previous experience (>10years) in Electrical design in the field of Consulting Engineering in North America ï¿½Perform Electrical Design duties associated with project scope of work ï¿½Develop Single Line diagrams, Schematics, Wiring diagrams ï¿½Experience with the Electrical System design, System Studies, Relay Coordination, Protection & Control ï¿½Knowledge and Experience using some of the following applications: Excel; Word; Power System Study programs ETAP, SKM, EASYPOWER ï¿½Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and regulations used in North American ï¿½Electrical power & process industries ï¿½Heavy industrial or Chemical plant power systems work is a plus ï¿½Liaise with other project disciplines ï¿½Be flexible with the ability to manage change ï¿½Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal ï¿½Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients and staff in a team environment ï¿½Must be able to work independently or with minimal supervision and still meet commitment deadlines ï¿½Good organizational skills, writing skills, presentation and communication skills ï¿½Willing to travel up to 25% Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
