Position Summary

Our Green Bay andAppleton, WI offices are currently seeking Power Distribution Leadershipprofessionals.

In this exciting role you will be challenged and responsible for:

  • Leading master plan studies, analyses, designand construction oversight specifically related to electrical systems for industrialpower distribution applications;

  • Protective relaying schemes includingcoordination and development of relay settings and interface with advanced SELsystems;

  • Supervision of design and production teamresources;

  • Equipment specifications, BOM development,bid-review, and factory acceptance testing electrical equipment includingswitchgear, high voltage breakers, GIS, transformers, protection systems andgeneration control equipment;

  • Electrical interconnection to the utility powergrid and associated equipment;

  • System modeling and calculations including short-circuit,arc-flash, load flow, grounding and lightning protection, Protective relaysetting development, calculation, and coordination studies. Relay programmingincluding SCADA and SEL RTAC systems;

  • Facilities electrical power distributionschemes, grounding and lighting studies;

  • Development of construction document packagesincluding required specifications and drawings that will be utilized forbidding and construction;

  • Client interface and communication andcoordination with contractors and outside parties;

  • Training, quality control, engineering designand analysis;

  • Act as a subject matter expect (SME) with thePower and Controls department for the areas listed above.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate forthis position will be responsible for process work for varied clients includingLV/MV power distribution, combined heat and power unit integration, utility transmissionand distribution on multiple projects of various sizes. Experience requirementsinclude:

  • B.S. (minimum) in Electrical Engineering isrequired

  • Registration (P.E.) is required

  • 5 years of experience

  • Detailed experience in the development andimplementation of power process electrical systems required

  • Task lead experience including scope definition,estimation, and project execution while meeting established schedule and budgetrequirements required

  • Protection system design required

  • Design for substation interfaces including relayprotection and interconnection agreements with utility companies required

  • Ability to direct the production of designpackages using 3D AutoCAD and EPlan ,SmartPlant or equivalent is preferred, with 2D AutoCAD required

  • 10-20% travel is required for duties includingfield verification, construction oversight, commissioning and startup

  • Industrial power plant electrical systemsevaluation and design preferred; with related experience in chemical, petroleumand other industrial process plants acceptable

  • System modeling using EasyPower, SKM PowerTools, ETAP, or similar modeling software is preferred
