Req No. 21815BR Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This individual will support reliable operation of Industrial Electrical Equipment and Perform Electrical Power Systems Analysis Studies in company-owned and operated facilities in North America. Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance to field personnel in the areas of high voltage distribution equipment, Substations, Transformers, Switchgear, and high voltage motors/generators Respond and provide technical assistance to electrical equipment problems within the company-owned facilities Direct and oversee vendor shop repairs on high voltage motors and equipment to ensure quality Issue repair reports at the conclusion of critical jobs for proper historical documentation Identify engineered resolutions to recurring electrical issues Improve plant/equipment reliability through historical trending and improved maintenance procedures. Lead and participate in Failure Analysis and Vulnerability studies. Execute equipment maintenance strategies (predictive and preventive) Ensure adherence to internal and national standards for specifying and maintaining equipment Support training, coaching, and mentoring electrical field technicians and operations staff in the preventative maintenance and operation of electrical distribution and control systems. 100 % compliance with Safety and Environmental standards Perform Electrical engineering power systems analysis calculations including, Motor starting/voltage drop, short circuit, arc flash and load flow.Qualifications/Requirements: BS Electrical Engineering Degree is a minimum Active PE license is preferred A minimum of 10 years electrical engineering experience in operations and maintenance of High Voltage electrical equipment associated with large industrial Facilities and/or Petro-Chemical Industry is required Working knowledge of SKM Power Tools for Windows engineering software is p...
